Rick Howard

Pastor Rick Howard was a Seventh-day Adventist pastor for 33 years in the eastern and central United States. Before that, he was involved in the New Age movement. In his retirement, he began writing and speaking about the dangers of Spiritual Formation. Pastor Howard wrote The Omega Rebellion in which he warned of the dangers associated with the “emerging church” movement. His second book on the subject, Meet It, investigates the emerging church movement within Adventism more deeply and exposes the dangers of involvement in the ecumenical movement.

Pastor Rick Howard sounded an urgent message of warning against the encroachment of pagan practices and Eastern mysticism into the church through such teachings as spiritual formation, contemplative prayer, postmodern spirituality, and non-Biblical forms of meditation.
